There are three levels of LEAF certification
- Level A: Contains less than 0.1% by weight of cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, and asbestos.
- Level B: Meets Level A criteria and contains less than 5% copper.
- Level N: Meets Level A criteria and contains less than 0.5% copper — the strictest standard.
